Look out Curb AppealĀ  – here come the Bitchezz!

We met at Suzi’s on a perfect fall November day. We’re always at the mercy of Mother Nature, and never know what she might spring on us. So far we’ve never been completely rained out. This November day was perfect – neither too hot nor too cold. Suzi had a maple tree in front of her house that had died of root strangulation, so it had to come out. In its place an evergreen was going in to be the focal point.

Suzi's November project - beforeAnother wonderful thing about the Backyard Bitchezz is the pooling of tools and resources. Someone may have a tiller, chainsaw, leaf mulcher, or other implement of destruction that you can use on your project, and we are always more than happy to share. Nancy even gave Suzi a truckbed full of rocks (from her rock garden) to use in her dry creek bed. We always share plants and seeds. Suzi blessed us with marigold seeds!

After a long day of digging up weeds, moving rocks and the offending tree, planting the new tree, and laying down mulch (of course!) the finished product is a thing of beauty.

Suzi Howard project finishedWe also cut back vines and roses, did some judicious pruning and voila!

Suzi Howard project - finished!Such a beautiful change. We go home tired, but happy to have made such a wonderful difference. Curb Appeal – eat our dust!!
